Kararan Foundation Limited is a Christian, non-denominational charitable organisation based in Kapchorwa, in the Elgon Region of Eastern Uganda. Established in 2024, the Foundation was born out of a deep passion to serve vulnerable children, orphans, widows, teenage mothers, and disadvantaged families facing the challenges of poverty, abuse, disease, violence, and natural disasters. Inspired by the love and compassion of Jesus Christ, we believe that every person deserves dignity, opportunity, and hope. Our work is centred on empowering communities through sustainable solutions that improve lives and create lasting change. We partner with local communities, government institutions, development partners, faith-based organisations, and well-wishers to address the root causes of vulnerability and build resilient communities.

Our Story
Kararan Foundation was founded in response to the growing social and economic challenges affecting families in the Elgon Region. High rates of teenage pregnancy, school dropout, child neglect, poverty, malnutrition, and harmful cultural practices continue to limit opportunities for children and young women. Recognising these challenges, the Foundation was established to provide practical support while restoring hope through education, healthcare, economic empowerment, child protection, and humanitarian assistance. Our commitment goes beyond providing immediate relief—we work to equip individuals and families with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities they need to build self-reliant and sustainable futures.
