Kararan Foundation Limited is a Christian, non-denominational charitable organization dedicated to empowering vulnerable children, orphans, teenage mothers, widows, and underserved communities across the Elgon region mainly Kapchorwa, Kween and Bukwo of Eastern Uganda through education, healthcare, protection, and sustainable livelihoods.

Our Mission

To restore hope among vulnerable children, teenage mothers, and communities affected by poverty, abuse, violence, disease, and natural disasters.

Our Vision

A community where children and their caregivers are empowered to improve their livelihoods through appropriate and sustainable solutions.

Our Programmes

Education Support

We promote education through school sponsorships, mentorship, vocational skills training, school reintegration, and educational resources for vulnerable children and girls.

Teenage Mother Empowerment

We provide counselling, maternal healthcare, parenting education, vocational training, entrepreneurship support, and psychosocial services that help young mothers rebuild their lives.

Child Protection

We protect vulnerable children by advocating against child abuse, child labour, early marriage, female genital mutilation, and gender-based violence while promoting children's rights.

We improve community health by providing: Maternal healthcare support Medical referrals Emergency transport for expectant teenage mothers Child nutrition programmes Malnutrition prevention Maternity kits Postpartum care

Humanitarian Response

We provide emergency relief including: Food assistance Clothing Shelter support Disaster response Assistance to homeless families

Legal Aid & Advocacy

We provide legal assistance for vulnerable individuals while advocating for: Girls' education Women's rights Child protection Ending harmful cultural practices
